The Bloggess is amazing, and by amazing I mean probably shouldn’t be allowed out by herself

My Dad had a birthday I made him a banner:
And a gift (The tickets haven’t come yet)
And I packaged up a tiny compass and tiny birthday card using the World’s Smallest Post Office kit:
And I dressed up:
And yesterday there was a beautiful sky:

I love Gemma Correll [via]
I wonder how hard it would be to make something like this. [via]
Edwyn Collins, who was one of my highlights of Bowlie 2, has created some fabric for Liberty. During his recovering from a cerebral hemorrhage he drew birds every day. via
Can I have one please? [via]

Some lovely things:
1/ Draw bunnies
2/ I’ve just enrolled at Birkbeck University to study an MA in Classical Civilisations
3/ I worked on some dolls recently and here they are all finished. Sadly they haven’t photographed well and look a bit blotchy but you get the idea.
4/ I will be at the Fox and Firkin in Lewisham from 12 on Sunday selling Pippa Alice things. I hope you can join me. I’ll have some bookmarks and a few new things
5/ I have a new doll. She’s a Maybe Phoebe Neo Blythe. She has translucent skin which is weird but also beautiful. I made her a shawl.
6/ I went to see Arrietty at the weekend. I love Studio Ghibli. ❤
7/ Elephants sa Hi!
8/ I recently purchased one of these:
If you are a friend expect eye-hurtingly tiny letters through your doors soon.
9/ I’ve found a place that will print plastic charms with my designs on so expect some necklaces in the shop somewhen soon
10/ The ASOS Curve sale. So many pretty dresses.
11/ I have had some fun with poster paint pens on my kitchen wall. The flowers are now filled in. The mosaic has googly eyes. It’s very authenticly Roman.
12/ My Mum bought me a new old camera. I have filled it with some 120 film and will let you know if I get any nice looking pictures
Just made a new banner for my other blog
Not happy with what WordPress does to it when I upload it but here is the full and proper version. (I haven’t been able to stop drawing Wonder Woman today. I haven’t a clue why.)
I do a lot of sketching at work whilst thinking or writing notes out. Here are some of the Post It Note sketches I’ve done recently. The ghosts are based on the ones drawn by Emily at the Black Apple. Though to be honest there are only so many ways you can draw a ghost. Sorry for the lack of blogging recently. I’ve taken on a lot more work at work, as well as being a Union rep and getting ready for my course. AND I’ve been a big old snot monster too. YEY!
This one has added tip ex pen high lights!
Will be posting soon on Various Things:
However I just popped in to say I am also writing a new blog on feminism and pop/geek culture:
Jack is a super sweet boy who has a brother who goes into hospital sometimes for chest problems. Jack is raising money for the hospital by drawing. And he’s very good!
I love this angry tiger. ❤ (Drawing is copyright Jack obviously!)
Please click on this link and donate some money. I can’t wait til his book comes out. (Edinburgh Hospital for sick children is a very good hospital and I deal with them occasionally during my job so I can 100% say this is a worthy cause!)
Unorthodox blog has a bit about my stuff that they sell today
They’ve been reduced to £20 for unframed originals.
Love Pippa Alice. xxx

She needs brads holding her basket, arm and legs on and her hat can be glued.
And then she should look a bit like this:
You can paint the top of the brads to blend in with the skirt.
Do let me know if you make her, I’d love to see.
Best wishes
Pippa Alice
As Easter is coming up I am going all themed, there is this post, and on Monday I will be talking about dolls and putting up my Easter treat.
I am a tiny bit obssessed (after years of following American craft blogs) about Marshmallow Peeps. If you don’t know Peeps are an American candy, I haven’t seen one close up but they come in BUNNY version (this is the cutest version, I have a little bunny peep trinket box) and a slightly weird looking chick version. They are marshmallow and brightly coloured and covered in what I suspect is sugar. One of my dearest friends is American and I suspect she thinks I have gone mental. For a value of ‘gone’.
Anyway it seems that when one is coming up to Easter in America that there is nothing more Easter-like to do other than make crafts from Peeps or using the image of Peeps. It’s like the baby Jebus, but sugary.
Peeps Sushi (OF COURSE!!!!!!)

I think this is super cute actually.
Make had this ‘Peep’ show on their blog yesterday. I think pretty much everyone has to see this. It’s genuinely amazing. I want one for my house. I’d have it by the door to welcome visitors.
